Scruffy’s been with us for a month now, and is doing great.
He is easy to have around, and does not demand a lot of
exercise. Although he would love as much as we can give, he doesn’t seem to go
crazy when the weather’s bad and we need to stay indoors. He’s also become a
great couch lounger and is happy to just hang out. He is dependably housetrained in my home, with no accidents since the first two days.
Scruffy is now crating easily with a treat, but does bark
for 2-3 minutes when we leave. He settles quickly though, and is resting peacefully
when we get home.
Walking on the leash has become a piece of cake. He listens
well and is happy to follow directions.
We had two events of counter-surfing over the Holidays, but
have not seen a repeat since then. Scruffy has become very well behaved around
food and has never found the trash or opened a cabinet. He doesn’t chew on
anything, and absolutely loves his toys.
Scruffy has been great with all the people he meets. He
doesn’t seem to have a preference between men and women, and did well with my
grandson. He does not jump-up and there is no barking when someone comes to the
door. He also LOVES to ride in the car.
He has not had the opportunity to meet any dogs, other than
our Charlie, but he did well at his initial meet and greet, and we plan on
attending the event on Saturday 1/21/16 at Tail Waggin Doggy Daycare. We will
see how that goes. I expect him to do wonderfully. Come see us !! There’s more
