First night went well. Shandy is very timid, but
co-operative and seems to be very bright. After some negotiation she went into
her crate. Once in she was quiet all night. The crate was clean this
morning, did her business outside, and then gobbled up her breakfast. All considered, not a bad first morning.
Shandy is listed at 45lbs, but I think she may be a little
shy of that mark. She seems thin to me, and we will be working on plumping her
up. I will try to get a height measurement soon but she is definitely smaller
than most Goldens I’ve met. She has the
most beautiful red fur that is very soft with a small white patch on her chest
and just a speckling of white on her nose.
