Camden has been in Wisconsin for two weeks now and has made
great progress. She is nothing like the scared little girl we picked up in
Hartland. She has become a happy tail-waggin pup, always excited to see us and
after countless efforts, her foster brother has finely engaged her into several
wrestle matches (his specialty).
Housetraining is going great. She always keeps her crate
clean and dry, and we have had very few accidents during play time in the
house.
Her appetite has improved immensely. She has become a good
eater and is excited for meal time. No food aggression.
She is great in her crate when we need to go to work, and
she sleeps quietly through the night. She is currently spending the night in a
crate in our bedroom, although she would LOVE to be with us on the bed. (House
rules-No dogs in bed with us overnight) She has gotten pretty comfortable snuggling
up next to me on my bed in the evenings when I watch TV. She also loves to lay
in her pet bed in the living room. I think she could become quite the lazy
girl. In fact, we have to convince her to go out for a walk on occasion. Of
course it might be that the Alabama girl doesn’t like the Wisconsin cold :) And she is no
speedster during the walk. This southern girl likes to take her time.
Camden is very quiet. I’m not sure we have heard a bark from
her yet. She is also very low shed. We have not seen any evidence of shedding
at all.
Give Camden time to warm up to you, and she will make a
loyal and loving companion for life. She wants the chance to show you.
