Vivi arrived last night (Wednesday 5/3/17) and here are our
first impressions. Keep in mind that she was just spayed on Tues and
on meds for pain and an antibiotic.
So……. What we see now can, and probably will,
change as she starts to feel better.
Calm, gentle and quiet
No interest in playing with our dog Charlie (for now)
Pottied outside last night, and did both duties outside this
morning
Slept quietly in a crate in our bedroom all night. Not a
peep.
Doesn’t really care for treats. We tried both crunchy and
soft. No interest. (Pretty sure this will change!)
Walked “Ok” on the leash. Could use some practice, but no
pulling and she “checks in” often. She’s gonna be great at this very soon.
She absolutely LOVES my husband. Her tails wags so fast and
so hard when he pays attention to her.
Vivi is slightly longer than she is tall, and much smaller
than her picture would let on. She could use a few pounds. (will post pics soon, I promise)
At first I would have guessed a Yorkie / Doxi mix…..BUT….the
blue eyes?? So this morning I googled pictures of Miniature Australian
Shepherds….. OMG…. Take a look for yourself. I guess we will know for sure, if
she starts to herd the geese that seem to always land in our yard…. He he
Watch for pictures and additional info this weekend.
Monday at the latest :-)
